El Palomar

Farm Information

The El Palomar farm spans 675 hectares dedicated to hedge olive grove cultivation, featuring 1,060,000 plants of the Sikitita and Sultana varieties. The planting framework will be 4.00 x 1.50 m, allowing for optimal plant distribution and better utilization of available space.

Farm operations will be managed with our own staff and machinery, ensuring efficient, integrated, and environmentally respectful practices.

The Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence in the area—characterized by mild winters and hot, dry summers—provides ideal conditions for olive grove development. In turn, the sandy-loam soils with good drainage favor the optimal growth of the Sikitita and Sultana varieties.

Olive Varieties at El Palomar

Sikitita

Easy to cultivate, highly resistant to diseases, small in size, and with high yield, Sikitita is an ideal variety for intensive cultivation.

Sultana

A result of crossing Arbosana and Sikitita, it stands out for its reduced vigor, high productivity, and the aromatic complexity of the oils it produces.
