La Palmera
Estate information
La Palmera covers an area of 111 hectares, with 210,900 Lecciana variety olive trees and drip irrigation throughout its entire extension. The water supply is provided through the Borbollón and Rivera de Gata Irrigation Community, belonging to the Tagus River Basin Water Authority.
It has its own personnel and machinery for operation, a 136 kW photovoltaic installation connected to the grid that supplies the electrical irrigation facilities, and a water storage and regulation reservoir for irrigation with a capacity of 39,790 m³.
The region where it is located is especially suitable for olive cultivation thanks to its continental Mediterranean climate, characterized by cold winters and dry, hot summers.
The diversity of soils, ranging from clay to sandy, also favors this crop, while the mountainous terrain generates microclimates that contribute to the optimal development of different olive varieties.
