Coriana

General characteristics

Developed by the University of Bari from a cross between the Arbosana and Koroneiki varieties, combining the high productivity and adaptation to high-density cultivation of the former with the oil quality and high polyphenol content characteristic of the latter
Developed specifically for modern farms, it has low vigour, a bushy growth habit and very early bearing, making it an excellent alternative for hedgerow plantations. It produces extra virgin olive oils with notable oxidative stability, a high oleic acid content, and an intense, well-balanced sensory profile.

Oil
Profile

Coriana produces an extra virgin olive oil with medium-high green fruitiness, elegant and with great phenolic richness.
On the nose, notes of green almond, fresh apple and light hints of berries predominate, accompanied by delicate herbaceous nuances that add freshness and complexity.
On the palate, it shows mild bitterness and medium-intensity pungency, perfectly balanced by a good initial sweetness. Its high polyphenol and oleic acid content provides excellent oxidative stability, allowing it to retain its organoleptic qualities for longer.
The result is a modern, complex and highly versatile oil, especially recommended for those looking for top-quality oils with balanced intensity.
